BATTLE: Goodz vs. Aye Verb SMACK/URL

  • Aye Verb and Goodz do battle while Jadakiss and Smack host it. Goodz vs Aye Verb was one of the top classic battles from Smack/URL's NOME 4 event, as each MC showed the culture why they carry the name of "Top Tier."  Jadakiss was brought out to host this battle, and he was thoroughly entertained from start to finish.  Goodz and Aye Verb put forth a great amount of promotion for this battle, and luckily for the fans the hype wasn't all wasted on their pre-battle blogs.  The battle was closely contested and definitely a highly debatable one.  Who do you think was victorious?. Who won this one? Comment below:

  • Charlie Clips takes on a '08 rematch from Lionz Den against, Tay Roc. This was a really good one.  The battle didn’t take place at the original NOME 4 event because of time constraints so Smack got the rappers together for a rematch just for the fans.Who won??

  • Smack is starting to release the battles from Summer Madness 4. Hitman Holla vs Tsu Surf may have been the most anticipated and lobbied for battle in the URL era and it finally went down September 28th at Summer Madness 4. Recognizing the fans pleas for the grudge match, Smack and the rest of URL decided to make Surf-Hitman the first battle released from the event just two weeks later. Who do you think got this one?

    BATTLE: Dizaster vs. Math Hoffa

  • The tables have turned on Math Hoffa. He and Dizaster have been going back and forth since 2012 and that night, Dizaster was bout that life. A rap battle between Dizaster and Math Hoffa turned into chaos tonight after Dizaster punched Hoffa in the face. This all happened during day two of King of the Dot's Battle of Los Angeles (BOLA) 5 event at Los Globos. Towards the end of the battle, Dizaster said, "Fucking waste of life. I should punch you in the fucking face right now." After some inaudible jawing back-and-forth, he suddenly swung on Hoffa. The fight escalated further with Dizaster bringing Hoffa to the ground before the two were eventually separated.

Total Slaughter: Loaded Lux Vs Murda Mook (Full Video)

  • It was a great night for hip hop in general, at least for me. Never have I gathered in front of a TV with a group of friends to watch a live hip hop event. Never was it a rap battle with a main stream artist. This rap competition put together by Eminem and Shady Films, Total Slaughter, was great for hip hop. After Arsonal rapped circles around Big T, then we had T-Rex beat Daylyt who was dressed up like the comic book character Spawn. It was followed by a rematch of Murda Mook and Loaded Lux. Lux came out with a great first round, but Mook quickly deflated his momentum with his raps. Watch all three rounds below and let us know what you think.

    Memorable Lines:

    Loaded Lux
#1. “Only thing you gon’ take is attendance/ you just the intermission, I’m on a mission it makes a difference.”
#2. “You can’t hang with a nigga this grounded/ you brushed up, you’ll get your paint snuffed, I studied your makeup, I can see how you look without it.”
#3. “You pussy, that’s Chinese fortune / there’s gonna, be cookie everywhere when this cat-meat whip me.”

     Murda Mook
#1. “Jackson, for his big face, he ain’t talking’ twenty dollars/ He getting cooked right in front of you– welcome to Benihana’s.”
#2. “You light work like an electrician/ Take your hands off your hips nigga, listen.”

#3. “Though you had the battles in bulk, like the incredible Hulk, you had the mean run/ But it was kid who gave you the juice sweetie– you was Capri’s son.”

Total Slaughter: Joe Budden vs. Hollow Da Don (Full Battle)

  • The Shady Records-backed Total Slaughter battle Rap event went down last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. The biggest attractions at the show were of course the battles Murda Mook vs. Loaded Lux and Joe Budden vs. Hollow Da Don.

    Memorable Lines:

    Hollow Da Don
#1. “Put up that jagged edge, nah I got 112 I want Joe-to-see.”
#2. “And these bars be like clubs that don’t want niggas to come around cuz these bars are only wearing Budden-down.”
#3. “This win’ a smart move for your boss who employed you/ For not shutting this down, y’all should fire Marshall!”

    Joe Budden
#1. “To my lost fans, can’t figure what my aim is/ Here I go again making another bitch famous,”
#2. “We had an exchange on Twitter I was disturbed some/ You ask me where’s my last hit– nigga where’s your first one?”

#3. “It was like street fighter when y’all was rocking/ You was like Blanca: balled up on the floor and it was shocking” (*Budden is referring to Hollow’s physical confrontation with another battle rapper, Jon John Da Don).
