He made his debut by means of a mixtape co- produced by Omen (from the Peanut Gallery) titled Sorry for The Long Wait. This was given a good reception by their audiences in their performing spaces. This brought him in association with people such as Bongani Fassie and Ghetto Ruff. He went on to release his album, The Breakout under Ghetto Ruff which also obtained much success but later on left the stable to operate in independence. The hustle as many may call it, continues for Maggz who also credits his mananger Pule Mokoa for a job well done.Many are unaware that his hip-hop career began more than a decade ago, in 1996, while he was studying at the National School of Arts. The cashtime member has the capabilities of emphasizing that soulful kwaito-melodic rap that Cashtime possesses and we’ve witnessed this through tracks such as Showlove’s “Good Times Back” and his underrated 2012 hit “Change”.
