    J-Lawless l Silas - Revelation (EP)

  • J-Lawless has been on a mini hiatus since the release of Until Tomorrow late last year. The South African producer and songwriter has been locked away in his studio working on new material which is set to be released over the next 90 days . Among the expected releases are 3 EPs & his album. I have also been informed by his manager that J might be finally releasing the much anticipated Black & Blue project with PDotOB! (My fingers are crossed). One of the 3 EPs in the pipeline is The Revelation EP. J-Lawless has linked up with Silas on an experimental project that has a darker theme over instrumentals reworked by Silas. DJ Kent‘s Spin My World Around and Nico & Vinz‘ Am I Wrong are some of the reworks that provide the canvas for J-Lawless to spit tales of child abuse, depression & his own industry struggles. The sound of this project shows a shift in J-Lawless usual direction and it deliberately avoids any club friendly records. The beats give J-Lawless the room to explore his subject matter in a unique way that still keeps you interested.
