Zubz - Listeners Digest

Zubz, known affectionately by his fans as “The Last Letta,” “The Legendary Golden mic holder,“ and “the ill rhyme writer,” is rated as one of the most prolific African hip hop artists of this generation. Born in Zambia, raised in Zimbabwe and living in South Africa, Zubz is an award nominated emcee who is a true product of African diversity. Since graduating from Rhodes University where he used to perform at campus hip-hop shows, Zubz has come a long way, after gracing the stage alongside prominent internationally recognised emcees such as The Lost Boyz, Talib Kweli, Dead Prez, Black Thought and Jeru da Damaja  early in his career. After finding a musical home at the independent label Outrageous Records, South Africa began to feel his lyrical force and his music infiltrated radio airwaves featuring as part of the duo “Originz”.​  the album Listener’s Digest, was released in 2004, and features  Golden Shovel, H2O, Kaydo , Mawe-2, Proverb, Tumi and Lois Nabunya. The lead singles are Super Star, I Write..., Agony Haggz and The Legend Of The Golden Mic
